Pictures taken 8 months after replacing sleepers on existing raised beds. Note the silvery grey colour they take on with age, rather than the green slime on treated softwood sleepers. Old sleepers were dug out of the channels in the paths, and liner was put down to protect the new sleepers from soil/compost decay. Existing Dahlia bulbs were left in situ.
